HighLevel Pricing

highlevel pricing

HighLevel (formerly GoHighLevel) is a very advanced all-in-one online platform. It’s used by both individual businesses and agencies.

Understanding its pricing will help you understand which plan is right for you!

Of course, to understand HighLevel pricing you also need to understand what you’re getting and what additional cost, if any, need to be taken into account.

This is what we’ll break down in this article as well as how this compares to other competitors in the industry.

HighLevel Pricing Overview

HighLevel has 3 pricing tiers that will be charged on a monthly or annually basis:

  • Agency Starter account: $81 per month billed annually (or $97 monthly)
  • Agency Unlimited (Or Freelancer) account: $248 per month billed annually (or $297 monthly)
  • Agency Pro account: $414 per month billed annually (or $497 monthly)

The first thing to note is that the first plan, Agency Starter, will give you pretty much all of the features HighLevel has to offer.

Which the full list of is as follows:

  • Workflow Builder
  • 2 way SMS & Email
  • Pipeline Management
  • Landing Page Builder
  • Website Builder
  • Standard Integrations
  • Calendar
  • Email Builder
  • Call Tracking
  • Google Reporting
  • Facebook Reporting
  • Attribution Reporting
  • Reputation management
  • Basic CRM Functionality
  • Form Builder
  • Survey Builder
  • Call Recording
  • Website Widget
  • Memberships
  • Email Support

If you want to better understand what these features are and how they work, take a look at our full review of Highlevel here.

The main thing you’ll get on the Agency Unlimited plan is an unlimited number of sub-account (aka clients accounts) and a branded desktop app to get rid of the HighLevel branding.

If you want to essentially license the HighLevel technology and sell it as your own (but not have to handle all the tech trouble) then that’s when the Agency Pro account is needed.

That’s what “Unlimited Saas” means, but that shouldn't be something 99% of people would need to worry about!

To understand this and what the heck are sub-account when you’re just a creators wanting to sell your products, why it’s important to understand who HighLevel is targeting.

What’s the best HighLevel plan for you?

The company positions themselves as the all-in-one platform for agencies.

This is why you’ll see things like “client account” or “sub-account” etc.

Essentially, at its core, HighLevel gives you a main account, in which you can create sub-account or client account:

There isn’t a whole lot to do from the main account, apart from keeping an eye on all of the sub-accounts.

If you’re an online course or membership creator, you might be wondering where you fit in all of this.

The answer is that you could simply use the Starter plan and create a sub-account for yourself and get on with it!

You’ll then be able to use HighLevel to build your website, funnels, email and automations, deliver your course etc.

If you’re an agency and work with clients needing to use a platform like HighLevel as part of their business, then the Agency Unlimited could be a good fit.

You can easily and efficiently get your client set up and help them with everything they need implemented using a world-class platform.

Finally, if you’re more interested in selling the technology behind HighLevel and developing your own SaaS business without starting from scratch, then the Agency Pro account is best.

Extra Costs

Although HighLevel is generally an all inclusive solution, there are realistically a few other costs that you may need to consider.

The first one is that if you want to send more than 10,000 emails per month, you will need to get your own SMTP account.

The recommended provider is Mailgun and the monthly cost will depend on how many emails you send per month.

Most people should count about $35-$50 per month for this.

Mailgun pricing

This does add a substantial amount to the monthly cost of HighLevel!

Similarly, you will have to connect a Twilio account if you wish to use the SMS and Texting feature inside the platform.

Here again, the additional cost depends on how many messages you send (and also if they’re local numbers or not) but count another $50 per month (~$0.0079 for each message sent)

These are all expenses to take into account when deciding on going with HighLevel!

How Does HighLevel Pricing Compare with Competitors?

Now that we’ve seen exactly what the HighLevel pricing plans mean and which one might be best for you, let’s put this in perspective.

The value you’ll get from the platform is only relevant relative to what competitors offer and at what cost!

So let’s look at HighLevel’s top 3 competitors and compare:

HighLevel Pricing Vs Kajabi

Kajabi is one of the most popular online course platform and therefore HighLevel’s direct competitors in that space.

The platform has 3 plans to choose from:

kajabi pricing top

You’ll be able to get started from $119 per month with Kajabi but with a limited number of Products (aka courses).

This is slightly higher than HighLevel Starter plan but Kajabi does offer unlimited email sending, which when computed into HighLevels cost makes it a little pricier.

I’d say overall that cost isn’t really the main difference between the two platforms and shouldn’t be a decision factor.

HighLevel Pricing Vs Kartra

Kartra is also another feature-loaded all-in-one platform and competitor.

It has 4 plans and a $1 for 14 days trial:

Kartra’s Starter plan and HighLevel Starter plan compare pretty equally in terms of allowance and costs.

The Silver plan in Kartra will give you everything unlimited including email sending for $149 per month which comes very close to HighLevel + Mailgun costs.

Again overall the two platforms are on par from a pricing point of view!

HighLevel Pricing Vs New Zenler

The last major competitor to compare HighLevel to is New Zenler.

The platform is growing in popularity and offers a very attractive price:

You can get started for free on the Beta plan, and the upgrade to the Pro plan from $54/mo (billed annually).

new zenler yearly

This gives you a 100,000 email sending allowance per month.

New Zenler does indeed at first glance seem more affordable than HighLevel, but the platform does have some limitations and fewer features.

No.
The best way to get started is with the 14 day free trial, which should be enough to determine if HighLevel is for you!

2) Are there any extra costs?

Apart from the SMTP potential expenditure, there are no other hidden costs to be aware of using HighLevel (no processing fees on top of the payment gateway’s)

3) I’m worried the platform might disappear tomorrow, what do I risk?

HighLevel has been around since 2018 and is well funded as well as having built a successful and popular business, there is no reason to believe they will go out of business anytime soon.

4) What else is included?

As with any SaaS business, website hosting and maintenance is included with means that security and encryption are taken care of.
