What is Kliq?

Kliq is an online platform that helps creators monetize their audience by hosting and selling digital products.

It’s been used by over 1,000+ creators since its creation in 2023 and raised venture capital funds.

One of its the most appealing and unique features of Kliq is the ability to customize your very own mobile app for your members.

The platform is mostly geared to creators in the wellness and fitness industry but can also be used for other purposes.

Features: What Can You Do With Kliq?

Kliq is going to be able to handle most of your needs as a content creator to deliver your digital products.

Here is an overview of the main features:

  • Checkout & Payment (Stripe)
  • Digital products: online courses, community, coaching
  • Live streaming
  • Blog
  • Mobile app
  • Learning tools: quiz, certificate, drip content (coming soon)
  • Community feature

Let’s now drill further into each of the main features you’ll be using:

Online Products

The first thing to note is that Kliq does allow for hosting videos and files directly on the platform.

You can easily sort your content in the Content Library and organize it in folders.

One of the main product types you’ll create is are Programs.

These can be fitness, movement programs for instance, that play out over X number of weeks.

You can then add exercises to each day of the week.

These exercises can be built in your Movement Library to re-use in different places.

You can configure parameters such as Rest time, a Timer or the number of sets.

This type of program is highly interactive and meant to be used on-the-go through the app.

These are different from the eCourses, which are most self-paced and meant to be consumed whenever time allows.

You’ll simply create Modules with as many lessons as you want, each usually containing a video or just simply text.

You can also add supporting material downloads for each lesson.

These eCourses are fairly straightforward but note that they do not have learning tools such as quizzes or assessments.

Another type of content you can add to your app are the Live Streams.

This is all hosted directly on the platform.

You simply set up a New Live, pick a date and a time and decide whether or not this will be available to your free or paid subscribers.

These can be automatically recorded for replay.

They also have several interactive features like live chat, polls, and Q&A sessions.

The last product to explore is the Community feature which again can be available directly in your app.

This is a fairly basic chat forum where members can create posts, like and comment.

It works very similarly to a Facebook group.

On your end you’ll be able to manage and moderate flagged posts from the back-end.

Mobile App

All of these products will be available in your very own mobile app (but also on the Web app version).

This is something you can customize and brand.

Things like adding your own logo, choosing a theme, branded colors for any section of the app.

Here is an example of the end result:

Note that you don’t have control over the layout of the app, but only the branding around it.

You can however change the name of the navigation menu and other parts of the default language to make it more yours.

This is one the main appeals of Kliq as it requires no code or technical knowledge.

Once your app is ready, you can simply push it for the technical team to take care of the rest and go through the iOS and Android process.

This usually takes around 2-4 days to get your app approved and live on the app stores.

Payment

You can integrate a Stripe account to be able to take payment directly on the platform or even within the app and an in-app purchase.

This will then allow you to set a price for your app subscription.

Note that you can also decide to make some content available to free subscribers as a gateway to your paid content.

But if you want to sell some digital products individually (and not as part of the app), you can also do that.

This is done in the Product section and you can upload 1 file to sell (video, PDF, image or audio):

These will then appear on the homepage of your Kliq site/space.

You also have the ability to create coupons.

These will be available to subscribers to refer to other people in your membership.

Each referral can earn them a number of points (set by you) until they reach their goal (set also by you) to receive their discount code.

User Experience: Is Kliq Easy To Use?

Once you’ve wrapped your head around how the platform works, you’ll find it to be very user friendly.

Of course as we’ve outlined, one of the biggest selling points is that Kliq allows you to customize your mobile app and platform with no technical skills.

Overall, the user interface is fairly straightforward with easy navigation and intuitive menus.

Do note that in order to get a fully customizable and branded platform, you’ll need to be on the Pro plan. Branding can be a little limited otherwise.

On the user level, the app is particularly simple to use on-the-go, especially since most will use it at the gym or while cooking.

Pricing: How Much Is Kliq?

The average app can cost anywhere from $10,000 to $80,000 to build, even for the most basic features.

That’s why using a SaaS platform like Kliq is putting you on a fast-track to offer a fully functional mobile app to your customers at a fraction of the cost.

You can get started on any Kliq plan with a 14 days free trial.

From there, you’ll choose among 3 plans:

On top of these plans, note that you’ll pay a small transaction fee (5% until the Pro plan, where it drops to 3.5%).

There are a few reasons to upgrade your plan from the Essentials.

The main one would probably to increase the number of premium content you can have on the platform, which would go to 7 on the Grow plan.

If you plan on having many different variation or tiers, then the Pro plan will give you unlimited products.

Also if you'll need more free members, then the Essentials plan might be limiting and you might want to increase this allowance to 3000 members (or again inlimited on the Pro plan)

Note that this is including both free and paid subscribers.

Overall Kliq is on the very affordable side compared to other competitors in the industry.

Do note that, as we’ve pointed out in this review, you will probably need to also account for a website builder and marketing software in your budget, if these are things you currently don’t have in your tech stack, since Kliq is not an all-in-one platform.

How is the Support & Community for Kliq?

The level of support you get on Kliq largely depends on the plan you’re on.

All users can get a complimentary onboarding session to walk you through the platform and get you set up.

But also technical support throughout the lifetime of your membership to address any hurdles you may encounter.

This is done through a ticket system that you can easily keep track of.

You can also visit the Help Center for helpful information and articles for the most frequently asked questions.

Beyond that, on the Pro plan, you’ll get more personalized customer support to help you with how to strategically use the platform for your business.

For the time being, Kliq does not have an official user community or Facebook group to help you connect with further users.

You can however check out several case studies to see how other creators have used the platform.

Community & Support Rating:

Pros:

  • Custom mobile app for your brand
  • Affordable compared to building a custom app

Kliq offers a powerful solution for creators looking to monetize their audience through digital products and a custom mobile app.

With features like online courses, live streaming, and community building, it's particularly suited for wellness and fitness creators but can be adapted for other industries.

While it's affordable compared to building a custom app, Kliq's limitations in customization and the need for additional marketing tools should be considered.
