What’s the Kliq mobile app?

Kliq launched in 2023 with a powerful idea to make it accessible for content creators to get a branded app without any technical knowledge.

This is possible on any plan of the platform to get your app in the App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android.

As a side note, your members and students can also consume all of the paid content you put out from the Kliq from the Web browser app.

They could also do so from their mobile phone browsers…

But a mobile app offers a native mobile experience for you and your students as well as a customized environment for learning.

This remains a mostly centralized mobile application but does have some of the upside of an Over-the-top (OTT).

How does the Kliq app work?

Before we dive into exactly what the app looks like and what your members will get access to, let’s go over exactly how this mobile app works.

The way you’ll customize your app in the Kliq platform is by simply going through the intuitive setup process:

You’ll have a chance to customize your mobile app and make it branded.

You can change the color of virtually any text on the app, including your general theme and colors.

But also upload your logo, a banner image or even customize the system text and navigation

Once you’re happy with your app, you can push to review through Kliq and the team will go through the application process on the App stores (iOS and Android) for you.

It takes around 1-3 days for your mobile app to then be approved and live.

Note that although this will be a customized app, meaning that people will be able to find it with your brand name in the app store, it’s still centralized.

Meaning that the back-end and infrastructure of the app is still handled by Kliq.

Which is probably a good thing for you since that means you don’t have to worry about the app stores updates and regulations.

This also means that you don’t have to pay the upfront cost that building an app from scratch usually entails, costing on average about $20,000.

What does the Kliq app look like?

As we’ve described above, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to make the mobile app your own.

Although it should be noted that custom branding is only available at the Pro plan.

Which means that there might still be some mentions of Kliq hosting the platform on a lower plan.

That being said, here is an example below of what the mobile app will look like and also display in the store.

Note the easy navigation down at the bottom of the app for members to navigate through the different parts of the member’s area.

The language of these can be changed but they’re referring to the Library of online course that have been purchased by the member.

And of course a Store for people to buy more products.

Other tabs are the Community feed where members can exchange if that’s a feature you’ve enabled.

Within the programs, modules can be added as “Favorite” to be pinned in a separate section.

Members can also pick up their progress right where they left off.

All content is also searchable via the native search bar.

Once installed, and if they “Allow” it on their phone, members will also receive push notifications.

What can students do in the Kliq App?

There are different types of paid and free content your members can see in the mobile app.

One thing to understand is that you can have both paid and free members.

Bear in mind that both contribute towards your allowance: 350 members on the Starter plan, 600 members on the Basic plan, unlimited members on the Pro plan.

Each of the feature and products you enable on the app can be used by paid or free members (or both), these are:

1) 1:1 Coaching: these are sessions users can book and pay for directly in the app to have some private time with you.

2) Workout Programs: these programs are easy to use on the app and are set up in the admin area. They can be broken down into Weeks, with a number of exercises.

You can set a number of reps, a timer and some instructions for each exercise.

3) Live Streams: Members can attend your live video webcast directly from the app. This is something only a few platforms offer natively.

4) Online Courses: These are more flexible than the Workout Program and are usually meant to be self-paced programs.

You can build out your curriculum with modules and lessons:

Each lesson can have a video, body text and downloadable resources.

5) Community Feed: The community section in your app will be a place for members to interact and connect with each other.

It looks very much like a forum or Facebook group with posts and replies written by users.

6) Recipes: These are cards with specific recipes you can give to your members.

It includes things like a video (or image) for the recipe, servings, cook and preparation time, Nutritional values and cooking instructions.

7) Digital Products: These are usually one-time purchases of downloadables or templates. Basically just 1 file you’d like to sell and that can be purchased in a few clicks.

Members can pay directly inside the app.

What languages are available for the Kliq App?

As we’ve seen previously, there are many opportunities for you to change the system text in the app for specific fields.

That being said, keep in mind that a lot of text also has to do with the user’s phone setting and the language they’ve selected there, which is out of your control.
